Confessions of a Guitar Hero junkie...

It seems to me every Christmas Break there is that one game or activity you spend every waking moment doing, and you just can't seem to get enough of it. For example, when I was younger, I remember one Christmas playing Uno nonstop, and another playing Clue with my friends every chance we had. Well this Christmas it's Guitar Hero. Every waking moment we're at home someone is strumming the guitar. I don't know what it is about this game, but it is so ADDICTING!!!! And everyone enjoys playing, even Grandma and Andrew. We started out the break with just one guitar and Guitar Hero II, but after Christmas we got a second guitar and Guitar Hero III. We've had so much fun facing off against one another and battling each other in battle mode. I am happy to announce I kicked my husbands trash in battle mode, 7 out of 10 times. We just don't need to mention all the times he's beat me on the face-offs. Anyways, this is how we're spending our Christmas Break and now I have to run because I can hear the guitar calling my name.

White Christmas

We had our first true white Christmas ever (at least that I can remember)!  Christmas morning we woke up to snow and it continued to snow and snow most of the day.  Now I have to say, I'm not one who thoroughly enjoys the snow, except for that one day each year, and it actually happened.  It probably topped off the best Christmas this Kelly family has ever had.

We were privileged to have both sets of parents join us for Christmas.  Matt's parents came from California, as well as his sister Kandis and husband Nick, and my parent's and brother came over Christmas morning.  We opened presents, had a little buffet of snack trays filled with all sorts of goodies, we played with all our new toys, went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, and played lots of Guitar Hero.  The boys really raked it in as usual.  I tried to have a little talk with Brayden before bed about how blessed he is, and to remember there are children and people out there who don't have as much as we do.  It seemed to have soaked in a little because then he went out and announced to everyone that we didn't need to go out the next day to get Guitar Hero III, like we planned, cuz we were already lucky to have Guitar Hero II.  No one else like the sound of that too much, and we ended up getting it anyway.

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and we wish you a Happy New Year!

??????I don't know what I'm doing???????

Okay so I am feeling a little inadequate to be doing this blog thing but here it goes...I've been receiving a lot of pressure to start up one of these things so before I did I visited many blogs trying to get some fun ideas for my own and I must have to say there are a lot of people who seem to have a lot of time on their hands. Either that, or I'm just really slow at the whole computer thing. It's probably the latter.

So, if any of you have some quick tips for me let me know and if you have any good ideas for things you like to see or read on blogs let me know that too.
